Plastics come from trees

I mentioned my "post every day" warranty was valid only on weekdays between 8AM and 5PM Eastern standard time, right? :) OK, back to the program.

Yahoo News: National Survey Reveals More than 70% of Americans Don't Know Plastic is Made from Oil

Where the hell did they think it comes from? Trees? Perhaps all that plastic fruit their kids play with confused them.

Adding insult to injury, there is this unique stat:

Nearly 40% (38.1%) of respondents said plastic will biodegrade underground, in home compost, in landfills, or in the ocean.
