Everyone gets to be a Victim

CNN Video - Shooter's girlfriend: 'He was a victim, too'

Text version

This is what is wrong with America. Everyone is a fucking victim.

If you walk into a crowded hall and randomly shot six people for NO FUCKING REASON and then kill yourself, I REFUSE to classify you as a victim.

And then she has to gall to say about the families of the slain victims, "I know what they're going through". What a fucking ego-nut. You're boyfriend just killed someone's son or daughter and you are going to pretend that because you were dating their killer for 2 years you know what that is like?

Events like this make me think gun control laws either need to be much stronger or we should just get rid of them all together. This half ass crap we have now is a joke.

I know it's so sickening to think how easy it is to get weapons. I had a scary ride to work today to cars were racing and stopped at the light one rolled down their window and I was scared. Who knows now a days they could've had a gun with them. It's freaky scary who can own a gun now :( so sad that story for those families.

I hate the people who defend guns and say "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" Guns are the enabler not the people. When its easy to get two assault rifles, you have to question yourself. We need stronger and more stringent gun control. We really don't need total gun control, just a total ban on hand guns and assault arms. There also should be loads of training and classes for those that have guns. More then there is now, and a yearly re-registration and class. That’ll make people more responsible. If you don’t re-register you’ll get a monster fine. Use the fines and registration money to pay for the classes and the people to run all the programs. Hopefully it’ll frustrate people enough to give up guns. People need to realize, yes the parents need to be better parents to these kids, but there is no perfect system. We need to decrease some of the factors that could of lead to this or at least quell some of the after effects afterwards (like lack of guns)

What a dumb ho! I put some blame on her since she states that he stopped taking his antidepressants and became annoyed easier. Why didn't she call his parents or MD over that alone. Guns make people different so I do believe they should be banned. Why does a regular Joe need one? You don't. Even hunting, use a bow or run around with a spear, now that is skill. Guns are easy to shoot.

I can't believe this chick...

That is until you remember Ted Bundy (Serial Rapist/Murderer) had a girlfriend that defended him until the end. She even married the guy after he was tried-convicted-and-sentenced.

I have to agree that Gun control isn't doing the job. But then again, if it wasn't guns, it would be a chest full of dynamite.

Not that I'm saying guns should or shouldn't be banned, but the real root cause is something deeper.

They said that the guy stopped taking medications and that was what caused the incident. I say "BULLSHIT!".

People don't stop taking their medication if it works. They would stop taking it if it doesn't work. I assume that almost everyone wants to be happy and live a normal life.

I in no way condone his behavior. The man is an asshole regardless of how he may or may have felt. There's no reason to go on a killing spree because you feel bad. I hate how everyone is pushed to find the quick and easy answer to everything.
